i am kinda hating christmas right now because people can't make up their GD MINDS!!

also, over thanksgiving i saw "no country for old men" and i wasn't very into it. but after hearing everyone else that saw it they loved it, maybe i just didn't get it. i mean i got the basic storyline but overall it wasn't that detailed and made assumptions. maybe i did miss the whole point of the movie. however, i have been paranoid since i saw it, thinking that some random person is just going to be sitting in my house and then blow me up. whateva, anyway i'll leave you with this:

i woke up at 5:30am this morning and could not, for the life of me, go back to bed. so i watched some of "how do i look?". wow, that show sucks. however, tim gunn's guide to style: thumbs way up. bravo over style network anyday of the week for me.

after watching that horrible show i decided to look for a nice leath tote bag. do you know how hard it is to find a decent black leather bag?? impossible! maybe it's because i am too picky, but jesus for real. and all the discount websites aren't discounted AT ALL!! i did find one marc jacobs bag, practically perfect, but it only used paypal and that i do not have. WTF black bag, where are you? and why can't you be affordable?

    gosh.

    goodbye august
i feel like i have been SUUPER busy, but in reality i really haven't

i am now working two jobs -- payless and studio35 (i start tomorrow for the osu ftball game BOO) i'm really excited and maybe this means that i can start saving a lot more money.

i am now a "key carrier" at payless, which means i can close and open the store buut i also recieve a 35cent raise. hollaback payless.

i think this month i have packed on some extra weight around my hip region sooo i'm going to go back to my routine of (trying) to work out. ugh.

i have 19 days until school starts and i just got my parking pass, i should go to campus and walk around but eh.

living with JB rulzz and our crazy neighbor is packin' her bags and moving. where? i have no clue but...she nuts.

i'm tired, going to bed at 11:23pm. i am a party animal.

    goodnight.

did this really happen? answer: yes.
there are two people in the world that have inspired me to go out and accomplish my career goals, besides my friends and family, and those two people are marc jacobs and sarah jessica parker.

i was on steve and barry's website looking at her line when i saw that she would be making an appearance at cincinnati mills on august 2nd. so me being the person i am called off of work and made it a plan to venture out. after waiting in line for at least 5 hours i got to see and meet one of the people i admire the most. it was such an overwhelming experience and honestly she was the nicest person. of course i cried and apologized and she was so nice and humble about it. i felt like such a nerd. but i can't believe i actually met her, i get a little choked up thinking about it.

i hope that i never meet marc jacobs because i don't think i can handle this again! seriously

i just hope the everyone gets to experience meeting someone that they truly admire because it's such a well-worth adventure.

ps thanks to matt and bailey for coming with me and bringing me food in line!

oh well. i really like my job and the people i work with. plus in my spare time i just walk around and try on shoes. yeah, i really like it.

    i miss my friends
    i miss matthew
    i miss having a job
i miss having money to do things

hopefully i will get a job in the (very) near future. i have turned applications into at least 9 places. ick

but when (and if) this happens i can:
    1. save money for our ikea trip
    2. really go to the grocery
    3. buy more patterns to practice with
    4. save money
    5. not sit around all day

i would like to see nancy drew but do you realized that even during the day tickets are still expensive, at least expensive enough to make it not affordable for me.

i would like to thank bailey, bj and amy for hanging out with me. really living with bailey is fantastic but when it's just me around here i get kinda lonely.

i think i'm going to go sign up for a library card in bexley tomorrow. followed by dvr-ing A LOT of tv and figuring out sewing.

ps i would post pictures but my camera is still broken, i should probably call those people tomorrow. boo

    heey

boston, ma was fantastic. it was so nice to be with everyone and celebrate laura's graduation. we did a lot of eating, shopping and sight seeing.

i got my first two pieces of marc jacobs clothing and i LOVE them.

my camera is broken, i think i must have dropped it but whenever i take a picture it is blurry. i guess i need to get that fixed, so i'll post pictures when that is all taken care of.

as soon as i got back to school i did not want to be here at all. i feel completely unmotivated and even though we only have one week left i still wish we were threw RIGHT NOW.

my last day at work is tomorrow and it's sad because i like my boss and the people i work with so that will be hard to leave buut i might be getting a job at a cafe next to the drexel! yeah for new jobs.

stuff looking forward to this weekend: knocked up opens on friday, matt and i are going to OU on saturday (for a music festval), and strawberry festival on sunday -- chocolate covered strawberries and strawberry/lemon shakeups, i can taste them already!

now i'm going to go and attempt to study for a big latin exam tomorrow, damn you cicero.

i scheduled my classes for fall quarter at OSU. ALL textiles and clothing and i couldn't be happier.

one more month of school left....thank god

beverly hills 90210 season 2 came out and i have yet to buy it

i'm trying this new thing called "saving money" and it isn't very easy

sarah jessica parker has a (cheap) clothing line coming out! check it out in glamour this month, she's on the cover

i saw the midnight showing of spiderman 3 on thurs/fri and it was soooooo good. everyone clapped when stan lee came on the screen and bruce campbell and i even had an audience participation "boo" at MJ. it was great. go see it. i love peter parker.

on thursday in my political science class my professor asked the class if racism still exists in american today? of course, most of the class answered yes to this and we had a great discussion on this issue. tying into this matt and i watched american history x last night. this was the first time i had ever seen it and it really had an impact on me. the movie was very disturbing but really sent out a message. i just don't understand how people can be so hateful to one another. with all of this going on it reminded me of a article that i had read in ellegirl magazine a little over a year ago. they had an article about this duo group called "prussian blue". it consisted of two white twin girls and they sang out white supremacist ideas.

this is the picture that appeared with the article:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

of course they said that they were not white supremacist but just "wanted a land for white people". also, they execute nazi salutes at their shows. their mother was a writer for a white nationalist group and she homeschooled the girls. this shit just pisses me off. where do you get off teaching your fucking kids these ideas? it's all just a load of shit and if you teach your kids that they are better than everyone else due to the way they look or the color of their skin then you are one fucked up person and just deserve to be fucking punched in the face by me. it really disturbs me and hurts me that people think this way. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. i really don't.

i couldn't find the article but i did find some basic facts about the group from wikipedia. here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prussian_Blue_(American_duo)

    Please, I need your help
This coming weekend I will be participating in Wright State's Relay for Life event. I have been so busy planning our fundraiser (RA pie in the face!) that I haven't had a chance to fundraise for myself. (i am a horrible person) All of the money goes directly to The American Cancer Society which helps A LOT! with cancer research, this is good stuff people! I will be walking in honor of my grandfather (Pop) who died in 1993 to lung cancer and my three grandparents who are survivors. If you could please take the time to donate to my page I would appreciate it. You will be helping the researching of cancer for the future.

where can you donate? right here folks: http://www.acsevents.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=206277&supId=167233869

    thank you!

my grandfather, don ries (aka papaw), on sen. john mccain: "that little white haired son-of-a-bitch, someone outta kick his ass".

he also told me that someone should just shoot bush. i think he is the only one, besides matt, that when i have brought up hilary clinton's name didn't say "she's too radical". ha

well back to more caesar/cicero latin for me, or as my latin professor likes to call them, "those crafty bastards". long live vulgarity.

this weekend i finished this little bag i was working on over spring break. and here are the results:

i also bought some patterns, just little things like dresses/skirts/purses. they were inexpensive and the package said "it's so easy". i'm sure i'll make it more difficult than it should be but hey, that's just my nature.

i've also been reading a mccall's sewing book i found at a thrift store that was copywritten in 1968. it's been very helpful in describing every single thing. SEW we'll see what happens. also, it keeps referring to: "if you are a "perfect" size 10, 12 or 14...", and this my friends is why i love the 60's!

today is nice and as soon as i am done with a this, i'm riding ma bike!

SB has been pretty relaxed and enjoyable, and here are the reason's why:

    1. i cleaned my room - good lord, it was a disaster
    2. i have hung out with my friends that i haven't seen in a while, always a good thing
    3. i have watched the power ranger's movie twice (not all at once) bits and pieces due to bordem
    4. i also endulged in "she's the man" just to see david cross
    5. i got sick on st. patricks day due to mcd's double cheese burg!
    6. i watch all (back2back) season 2 project runway and want the 4th season to come on right now!
    7. saw piebald! in colubmus!! it was great
    8. bj and bailey got me the pinapple candle i wanted from bath&body! and they gave the blue lamp that sits in their living room! (i love it)
    9. enjoying somewhat pleasant weather
    10. i am so soo proud of laurarenee&marissa and their raising for relay. they have both done a tremendous job and should be very proud of themselves!

    bike riding!

    wedding bells
sooo two girls on my floor just got engaged this past weekend. they are both 19!!! WTF upon hearing this new i found out that three more girls on this floor are also engaged. seriously am i in an episode of the twilight zone?

seriously if one more person asks me if matt and i are going to get married, i'm going to scream. people, i don't even know what i'm going to wear tomorrow!!!

i don't understand it, if you date someone for 3 months everyone wants to know if you guys are going to get engaged. creepy, 3 months you don't even really know the person.

americans are obsessed with marriage for two reasons, 1) the big wedding aka waste of money and 2)having...oh you know... this is so true

sorry, i just get angry when people ask me when i'm going to get married. i'm not getting married till i'm 30+. amen, amen.
